Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala have taken a significant dip, continuing a downward trend for the second consecutive day. Today, the price of gold fell by ₹1,040 per sovereign, bringing it down to ₹1,12,160, while the per gram rate dropped by ₹130 to ₹14,020. This follows a steep decline of ₹880 per sovereign yesterday, taking the total fall over two days to ₹1,920.
Market analysts attribute this sudden drop to global uncertainties triggered by tensions in West Asia, which have impacted international gold markets. Rising crude oil prices—especially Brent Crude crossing the $100 mark—along with fluctuations in stock markets, have also played a key role in influencing gold prices.
