Trivandrum: Quest Global, a leading global product engineering services company, in partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) India Philanthropy successfully launched the third batch of its esteemed Returning Women Engineers Program (RWEP) in Trivandrum, Kerala. The RWEP program aims to provide a comprehensive support system to women seeking to re-enter the workforce after a career break. With 30 women engineers from Trivandrum, the two-day launch program began with an introduction to the RWEP, acquainting the attendees with the objectives and structure of the initiative.

This was followed by interactive soft skill sessions designed to enhance communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities among the participants. Individual interactions were also organized based on the specific needs and queries of the participants, providing them with personalized guidance and support. As part of the initiative, Quest Global volunteers engaged with beneficiaries, offered valuable insights, and expert guidance, and addressed their queries. Over the next few months, the participants will take part in multiple soft skill and technical training sessions, in addition to mentoring, counseling support, and other learning sessions.

Quest Global’s RWEP in association with IEEE India Philanthropy has already brought a positive change in the lives of 150 women in their journey to re-enter the workforce. Through capacity-building support, this program has empowered the participants to grow into leadership roles or initiate businesses, fostering technical and managerial skills. In collaboration with IEEE, Quest Global also runs the Women in Engineering (WIE) initiative as part of their CSR activities. The scholarship under WIE includes financial aid, mentorship, technical courses, training, placement support, and professional networking. It aims to ensure a holistic support system for women in these fields. These programs aim to impart knowledge, skills, and attitudes so that they can effectively manage their personal, professional, and social life.
