Chennai: Prominent businessman Gokulam Gopalan is ready to prove his acting skills in drama after cinema. He plays a key role in the latest play by Team Arts, titled ‘Ompathaam Bhaavam’. The play will be staged in the Malayalee Club Auditorium on Sunday 30th of this month at 6:30 in the evening in front of the Malayalees of Chennai. Jophin Manimala has written the script, and Ashwin Jayaprakash directs the drama. Dr. AV Anoop, a well-known figure in theater circles, also features in the play. Other notable actors include KP Lathief, Girish Ayyappath, MC Vinodkumar, and KR Gopalakrishnan.
This is the debut play of leading businessman, film producer and actor Gokulam Gopalan. Manjumal Boys was the last film distributed by his distribution company Sri Gokulam Movies. It became the first film in the Malayalam film industry to earn more than 200 crores. Gopalan rose to prominence as the producer of Tamil Superstar Vijay’s father Chandrasekhar’s debut film. He has also acted in a few films like Netaji, Pathompatham noottandu, Pakalum Pathira. Along with the film industry, the Gokulam Group also has a significant presence in the fast-growing Malayalam television news channel.
Dr. AV Anoop, a versatile artist known for his captivating performances on stage, is also a successful entrepreneur. His journey in the Ayurveda industry, particularly with the soap ‘Medimix,’ spans 41 years. Anoop’s ability to transform into various characters on stage has always amazed theater audiences. He is also the recipient of many awards both artistically and commercially. He has dedicated his life story through the book ‘You Turn’, where he broke through the boundaries of crisis and progressed without hope and achieved success.
Prominent businessmen Gokulam Gopalan and Dr. A.V. Anoop come together and different visual feast will be prepared for the audience with the drama Ompathaam Bhaavam. They are both individuals actively engaged in propagating Shree Narayana Dharma globally through their spiritual ties with Shiva Giri Madam.
