Chennai: In a landmark moment for Indian democracy, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal have recorded their highest-ever voter turnout since Independence, reflecting an extraordinary surge in public participation. Tamil Nadu registered an impressive 84.51% polling across all 234 constituencies, while West Bengal saw a staggering 91.58% turnout in its first phase, according to the Election Commission of India.
