India Targets 500 GW Renewable Energy Capacity by 2030: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed India’s commitment to clean energy, announcing an ambitious target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. Speaking at a high-level energy summit, he highlighted India’s rapid transition towards sustainability, emphasizing that Indian Railways will achieve net-zero emissions by 2030. Additionally, the country aims to produce 5 million tonnes (MT) of green hydrogen as part of its efforts to reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy security.
