New Delhi: In a powerful and politically charged speech in the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly backed the Women’s Reservation Bill, calling it a “historic opportunity” to bring women into the heart of governance.
Describing the bill as a turning point in India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation, Modi said true progress is not just about infrastructure, but about ensuring women have a decisive role in shaping policies and leadership.
“This is the need of the hour,” PM asserted, adding that the legislation has the potential to redefine the country’s political landscape.
