Pm Brics Summit

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to launch the NDA’s election campaign in Bihar today, marking a high-energy start to the upcoming state assembly polls.

Modi will begin his campaign from Karpuri Gram, the birthplace of former Chief Minister Karpuri Thakur, where he will pay floral tributes to the socialist icon before addressing massive public rallies in Samastipur and Bahusar.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will share the stage with the Prime Minister, as the two leaders formally roll out the NDA’s joint campaign — their first major public appearance after the alliance sealed its seat-sharing pact.

Under the agreement, the BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each, while Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) will fight from 29 constituencies in the 243-member Bihar Assembly.

Stringent security measures have been put in place across Bihar ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.

The NDA will take on the INDIA bloc, which has fielded RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate and VIP leader Mukesh Sahani as the deputy CM face. Congress leader Ashok Gehlot had earlier confirmed the alliance’s leadership lineup, setting the stage for a fierce electoral battle in the state.
