Thiruvananthapuram – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the centenary celebrations of the historic 1925 conversation between Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi on June 24, 2025, in Kerala. The event commemorates a pivotal moment in India’s socio-religious reform movement, when two of the nation’s most revered leaders met at Sivagiri to discuss key issues such as equality, non-violence, caste reform, and spiritual upliftment.

This landmark dialogue, held a century ago, helped lay the foundation for modern India’s values of social justice and inclusivity. To mark the 100-year milestone, the state will host a series of cultural programs, exhibitions, seminars, and educational initiatives reflecting the enduring legacy of the Guru–Gandhi vision.

Prime Minister Modi is expected to deliver a keynote address highlighting the continued relevance of their ideals in today’s India. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Kerala state government, Sree Narayana Dharma institutions, and the Union Ministry of Culture.

Spiritual leaders, scholars, historians, and political dignitaries from across the country will take part in the celebrations. As India revisits this defining chapter in its reformist history, the centenary aims to reaffirm the principles of peace, unity, and human dignity that both Sree Narayana Guru and Mahatma Gandhi stood for.
