New Delhi: India experienced two back-to-back earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 on Monday morning, causing mild tremors in the Delhi-NCR region and Bihar’s Siwan district. The first earthquake struck Delhi-NCR at 5:36 AM IST, with its epicenter near Dhaula Kuan in New Delhi at a depth of 5 kilometers, prompting residents to evacuate as a precaution. Just hours later, at 8:02 AM IST, another earthquake of the same magnitude hit Siwan district in Bihar, occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers, leading to brief evacuations. While no casualties or significant damage have been reported, authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have advised residents to stay vigilant and follow safety protocols in case of aftershocks.
