PM Modi Mourns the Passing of Mahant Satyendra Das Ji, Chief Priest of Ram Janmabhoomi Temple

Ayodhya – Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Mahant Satyendra Das Ji, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya. The revered priest passed away at the age of 85 while undergoing treatment at SGPGI Hospital in Lucknow following a stroke.

Taking to social media, PM Modi paid tribute, calling Mahant Satyendra Das Ji a pillar of devotion and spiritual wisdom. He acknowledged the priest’s lifelong service to the Ram Janmabhoomi and his unwavering dedication to Lord Ram.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also condoled his passing, recalling his pivotal role in temple rituals and traditions. Several political leaders, saints, and devotees have expressed grief over his demise, marking the end of an era in the Ram Janmabhoomi’s spiritual leadership.

The priest had been serving at the Ayodhya temple since 1992, overseeing its religious proceedings and guiding devotees through decades of transformation. His passing is seen as a significant loss to the Hindu spiritual community.
