AAP’s Atishi Wins, Vows to Continue Fight Against BJP

Atishi

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena secured victory in the Kalkaji constituency with a margin of 2,795 votes, defeating BJP’s former MP Ramesh Bidhuri. The counting process saw multiple lead changes, keeping the outcome uncertain until the final rounds.

Following her win, Atishi declared that the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) battle against the BJP will continue. “This is just the beginning. Our fight for Delhi’s people and against BJP’s policies will go on,” she stated.

Meanwhile, senior AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia faced major defeats. In the New Delhi constituency, BJP’s Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma ousted Kejriwal, marking his first-ever election loss. Sisodia was defeated in the Jangpura seat by BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah by 675 votes.

The results indicate a significant political shift in Delhi, with the BJP gaining ground while AAP struggles to maintain its influence.
