Airline

In the latest 2025 safety rankings by AirlineRatings.com, no Indian full-service airline has made it to the world’s top 25 safest airlines. However, in the low-cost carrier category, IndiGo has emerged as the only Indian airline to secure a spot, ranking 19th among the world’s safest budget airlines.

The rankings evaluate airlines based on multiple safety factors, including crash history, pilot training quality, and adherence to international aviation safety regulations.

On the global front, Air New Zealand has been crowned the world’s safest airline for 2025, followed by Qantas in second place. The third position is jointly held by Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, and Emirates.

Among low-cost carriers, Hong Kong Express leads as the safest, with Jetstar Group, Ryanair, and easyJet following closely behind.

IndiGo’s inclusion in the rankings highlights its commitment to high safety standards in the aviation industry, reinforcing its position as a trusted airline in India’s budget travel segment.
