Dr. Rajeev Menon, National General Secretary of the Republican Party of India, claims that the Bochae Lottery’s primary goal is to launder black money. Boche is running a massive multi-crore scam, integrating crores of illegally earned money into the financial system. Dr. Rajeev Menon stated that there should be an urgent intervention against this and the source of the financial income should be investigated by the ED. Bochae is running a lottery business without permission under the guise of a lucky draw for a product. There is no legal barrier to offering a lucky draw, allowing Bochae to exploit this loophole with their ‘Bochae Tea’ project worth 34 crores.
Bochae sells a packet of tea for 40 rupees, with a draw included as part of the purchase. However, Bochae has never highlighted the promotion of the tea itself. Instead, the draw’s promotion is publicized daily through newspapers. Bochae offers prizes worth ten lakhs a day and 13,704 other prizes. However, at first glance, the government cannot take action because it is not officially recognized as a lottery. Meanwhile, the State Lottery Department has understood the intent behind this, Dr. Rajeev Menon said.
There is also suspicion that one crore was paid for the release of Rafeeq, who is in jail, in connection with the launch of Bochae Tea. Out of the 34 crores, one crore was given by Bochae. After this payment, the promotion of Bochae Tea started. The lottery, known as Lucky Draw, aims to turn one crore into a hundred crores. Subsequently, Bochae Tea and Lucky Draw have become trends. The sale is still ongoing significantly. The import or accounts of the tea powder are unclear. An online lottery business is happening under the guise of Bochae Tea. Bochae is conducting a business worth lakhs under the pretense of a lottery, and a comprehensive investigation should be done against this. Rajeev Menon said.
