A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi retreats to Kanyakumari on a three-day meditation break, the Congress on Wednesday approached the Election Commission, saying that the PM’s move constitutes a “violation” of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The Congress alleged that Modi is conducting an indirect election campaign and is a meditation after the end of the election campaign to stay in the news. That is why the Congress has demanded that the media be banned from broadcasting it.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kanyakumari on May 30 and stay there for 2 days to meditate at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in the sea. He would practice a day-long meditation at Vivekananda Rock. After reaching Thiruvananthapuram, the Prime Minister will head to Kanyakumari. It is indicated that he will return on June 1.

Modi will reach Kanyakumari from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala at 4.55 pm and after visiting the temple there, he will take a boat to Vivekananda Para. As part of the visit, more than 2,000 policemen, including eight district police chiefs, have been deployed in Kanyakumari. Apart from this, a visitor ban has also been imposed in Kanyakumari. In 2019, Narendra Modi meditated in a cave in Kedarnath.
