Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has postponed the announcement of SSLC examination results, which will now be declared in the third week of May, Education Minister V. Sivankutty confirmed. The Higher Secondary (Plus Two) results are scheduled to be announced on May 25.

The valuation process for SSLC answer sheets will take place from April 16 to May 2 across 72 centres. Meanwhile, Higher Secondary evaluation will begin on April 16 at 89 camps across the state.

In a significant development, SSLC and Plus Two examinations have been cancelled at seven centres in the UAE due to prevailing war-like conditions. For affected SSLC students, results will be determined based on marks from model and quarterly exams, while Plus Two students will be assessed based on their first-year theory exam scores.

Students who are not satisfied with the results will be given an opportunity to appear for the ‘Save a Year’ (SAY) exam by the end of May.

The minister also directed schools to publish continuous evaluation scores on notice boards, and announced that multi-level committees will be formed to address student complaints.

Additionally, schools have been instructed not to conduct vacation classes, and to complete all school fitness and safety measures during May. Under the Samagra Shiksha Kerala initiative, projects worth ₹1,158 crore have been approved to strengthen the education sector.
