Thiruvananthapuram: A spell of intense weather is set to impact Kerala today, with forecasts predicting heavy rain in isolated parts of the state. The India Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow Alert for Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad, and Malappuram as a precautionary measure.
According to the forecast, these areas could receive heavy rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours, along with the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning.
The unsettled weather is expected to continue until Thursday, with warnings of gusty winds reaching up to 50 km/h. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, especially in vulnerable areas, as changing weather conditions may pose risks.
