Singapore: In a glittering ceremony held at the prestigious National University of Singapore, noted industrialist and Chairman of the Gokulam Group of Companies, Gokulam Gopalan, was conferred the Singapore Pravasi Express Lifetime Achievement Award 2026. The honour was presented by Singapore’s Minister for Culture and Youth, Dinesh Vasu Dash, in the presence of dignitaries, community leaders, and members of the Indian diaspora.
The prestigious recognition celebrates Gopalan’s remarkable journey in business as well as his enduring contributions to social and cultural initiatives. Widely regarded as a pillar of the Sree Narayana movement, his efforts in blending entrepreneurial success with spiritual and humanitarian values earned him international acclaim. Previous recipients of the award include former Kerala Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan, poet Sugathakumari, acclaimed singer P. Jayachandran, legendary vocalist Vani Jairam, and social activist Dayabai — placing Gopalan among an illustrious list of distinguished personalities.
