Thiruvananthapuram: Emphasising the enduring strength of India’s democratic framework, Dr. K.K. Manojan, Vice Chairman of Sree Gokulam Healthcare Institutions, said the Constitution is not merely a written document but the very foundation on which the nation’s democracy stands.
Speaking after hoisting the national flag at the Sree Gokulam Medical College campus as part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations, Dr.K.K. Manojan said the occasion serves as a powerful reminder for every healthcare professional to carry out their social responsibilities with dedication and integrity. Dr. K.K. Manojan added that Indians can take pride in the global recognition earned by the country’s healthcare workers for their professionalism and commitment.
Highlighting the vision of Sree Gokulam Group Chairman Gokulam Gopalan, Dr.K.K Manojan said the medical college has been providing quality healthcare at affordable costs, setting itself apart from other private institutions. Dr. K.K. Manojan also informed that steps are underway to increase the intake of medical students from the current 150 seats to 250.
Dr. K.K. Manojan further noted that a comprehensive geriatric and palliative care system is functioning at Sree Gokulam Medical College for elderly people above 80 years of age who are poor and without family support. Dr. K.K. Manojan said the initiative has been implemented following the guidance of Chairman Gokulam Gopalan, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to compassionate and inclusive healthcare.
