The Republican Party of India (Athawale) has announced that it will contest 1,000 seats in the upcoming Kerala Panchayat elections, aiming to strengthen and spread the vision of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar across the state.
Speaking to the media in Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. Rajeev Menon, National Secretary General of RPI (A), said the party is committed to empowering grassroots democracy and ensuring social justice through Ambedkarite ideals.
Dr. Rajeev Menon was accompanied by Rajeev Das, State Working President, and other key office-bearers during the press meet. The leaders emphasized that the RPI’s growing presence in Kerala reflects the people’s desire for inclusive governance and equality-based local leadership.
The party plans to focus on Dalit rights, youth empowerment, and social welfare, presenting itself as a strong alternative in the state’s local political landscape.
