Thrissur: The spirit of agriculture came alive at the Farmer’s Meet, Women’s Talent Meet, and Felicitation Ceremony held at the Thrissur Press Club Hall, jointly organized by farmer collectives Mann, Plants, and Siyas. The event, inaugurated by Thrissur Deputy Mayor M. L. Rosi and chaired by Adv. A. D. Benny, showcased inspiring sessions and honored outstanding contributions across multiple fields.
Kerala Union of Working Journalists State General Secretary Suresh Edappal delivered the keynote, while the Mann Agricultural Seminar, inaugurated by Wadakkanchery Municipality Chairman P. N. Surendran, featured expert talks by IPL Regional Manager Manoj Kumar and Rahul on Soil and Microorganisms.
The Plants organization’s new logo was unveiled by Thrissur Zoological Park Director B. N. Nagaraj IFS, and Councillor Regijoy Chackol led the Women’s Felicitation and seedling distribution.
The Indianvartha YouTube Channel bagged three awards for excellence in agriculture-based programs, with honors going to K. M. Sudheer, S. Anand, and Shruti A. S.
Recognition also went to achievers in veterinary sciences (Dr. V. M. Harris, Dr. Sumichandran), agricultural sciences (Dr. Sudheesh Manalil, Dr. Smitha), forestry (Dr. Nameer P. O.), agricultural engineering (Sindhu Bhaskar, Harikrishnan), construction (Ajith Kumar Panikkath), and dentistry (Dr. Nayana).
Progressive farmers, women farmers, and media professionals were also felicitated, with closing remarks from Plants Secretary Sojimon Antony and other dignitaries.
