Gold Soars to Record High in Kerala — ₹2,800 Spike in 3 Days Sparks ₹75,000 Price Buzz

Gold

Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala have skyrocketed to an all-time high, igniting market speculation that the yellow metal could soon breach the ₹75,000 mark per sovereign.

On Friday alone, gold jumped by a staggering ₹1,560 per sovereign (8 grams), pushing the price to ₹74,360 — surpassing the previous record of ₹74,320 set on April 22. The per-gram rate now stands at ₹9,295, following a ₹195 increase.

Analysts say the dramatic surge is driven by rising geopolitical tensions, particularly the Iran-Israel conflict, which has prompted a global rush toward gold as a safe-haven asset.

With gold gaining ₹2,800 in just three days, experts warn that this upward trend could continue as investors flock to the metal amid mounting global uncertainty.
