Thiruvananthapuram: Republican Party of India (RPI) National Secretary General Dr. Rajeev Menon has urged authorities to intensify inspections on film shooting locations and actor caravans, citing growing concerns over drug abuse in the industry.
Dr. Menon warned that Kerala’s youth are at serious risk of falling into drug addiction over the next ten years if immediate action is not taken. He emphasized the need for vigilant monitoring within the entertainment sector, where the use of narcotics is allegedly on the rise.
His statement comes amid increasing public discourse on drug-related issues in Kerala and the influence of substance abuse in creative spaces. Dr. Menon stressed that preventive measures and strict enforcement are essential to protect the younger generation from this looming threat.
