Alappuzha – The highly anticipated Perumbalam Bridge in Kerala’s Alappuzha district is on track for its grand opening in April 2025, marking a major step forward in improving connectivity for the region. Officials have confirmed that bridge construction is fully complete, with only final touches on the approach roads at Perumbalam and Vaduthala currently underway.
This new infrastructure will provide a direct road link to Perumbalam Island, ending its long-standing reliance on ferry services for mainland access. The project, which has been in development for years, is expected to boost local transportation, tourism, and economic growth.
Authorities have assured that all remaining work will be completed on schedule, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience for residents and visitors alike.
