Kochi: Dr. Rajeev Menon, General Secretary of the National Organization of the Republican Party, responded to the incident of the discovery of disease in the water of DLF Flats in kakkanad. In the incident, there was a serious mistake on the part of the government and the health department. About 500 people have sought treatment in four weeks. Such an incident was caused by negligence and incompetence of the health department in the distribution of drinking water. Dr. Rajeev Menon said that the outbreak will be brought to the attention of the central government and action will be taken against it.
At the same time, untreated water is not being distributed in the flats. The water from tankers, which comes from various sources, is what residents use for daily needs. Unfortunately, the authorities are unaware of the purity of water in these tankers. The situation is under control. In this context, Dr. Rajeev Menon stressed the importance of implementing public health protection measures according to the law. He also called for the government’s attention to address this serious issue. Dr. Rajeev Menon said that strict action should be taken against those who committed such serious lapses and this issue should be brought to the attention of the Prime Minister.
