Trump to Address US Tonight as Iran Crisis Deepens, Warns of Intensified Military Action

Trump 2

Washington: With tensions in West Asia reaching a critical point, U.S. President Donald Trump is set to address the nation tonight at 9 PM, outlining America’s decisive strategy in the escalating conflict with Iran.

Signaling a tough stance, Trump said the ongoing conflict could end within two to three weeks—but warned that military operations will intensify if Iran refuses to come to an agreement. The White House has made it clear that U.S. forces will remain deployed in the region, with no immediate plans for withdrawal.

Trump also stressed that safeguarding the vital Strait of Hormuz—a key global oil transit route—should not be the responsibility of the United States alone, urging other nations to step up.

On the other side, Iran remains defiant, ruling out any negotiations with Washington. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed receiving communication from U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, but Tehran has yet to respond to a 15-point proposal put forward by the U.S.

Iran insists that its priority is not just a ceasefire, but lasting peace in the region—along with firm guarantees against future attacks—setting the stage for a high-stakes geopolitical standoff.
