Asaduddin Owaisi Raised Jai Palestine Slogan; He should be disqualified from Lok Sabha membership; A letter will be sent to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha as required; Dr. Rajeev Menon

New Delhi: National Organization General Secretary of the Republican Party, Dr. Rajeev Menon, has said that he will send a letter to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha demanding the removal of AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi raised a slogan in support of Palestine, During the swearing-in ceremony in Parliament. Dr. Rajeev Menon pointed out that Owaisi’s slogan, ‘Jai Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine, Takbeer Allahu Akbar,’ at the end of his oath as an MP for Hyderabad in the 18th Lok Sabha was inappropriate and against the parliamentary rules.

The RPI has decided to intensify its protest against Owaisi for raising a pro-Palestine slogan while taking his oath as an MP. Dr. Rajeev Menon criticized Owaisi for not being willing to say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ while living in India and accused him of engaging in anti-India activities.

Dr. Rajeev Menon demanded the removal of Owaisi’s statement from the parliamentary records and mentioned that there are provisions to disqualify him from Parliament for his controversial remarks under the existing laws. According to Article 102 of the Constitution, an MP can be disqualified if they show allegiance to a foreign country. Dr. Rajeev Menon further emphasized that Owaisi’s remarks were entirely incorrect and against the rules of Parliament.
