Delhi: Republican Party of India National Organization General Secretary Dr. Rajeev Menon said that the act of CISF female officer in the attack on BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport was disgraceful.He clarified that while he does not support Kangana’s statements, the actions of the security officer were disgraceful. Dr. rajeev Menon emphasized that such behavior is not expected from the army, police, or protectors of the nation and society. He highlighted that everyone has the right to express their opinions on various societal and national issues, with some agreeing and others disagreeing. If someone’s sentiments are hurt, legal opposition should be sought rather than resorting to such attacks. This incident raises concerns about the safety of not just Kangana but everyone, he added.
Kangana Ranaut is a Bollywood actress and BJP MP elected from Mandi Lok Sabha constituency. If there is an attack like this on one of them, what will happen to the common man? Following her complaint, action was taken against CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who slapped her. Dr. Menon demanded a detailed investigation into the incident. It is suggested that Kangana’s earlier comments on the farmers’ protest provoked the CISF officer. Dr. rajeev Menon questioned how a security officer could behave in such a manner, asserting that everyone in this country has an equal right to express their opinions and that such attacks are unacceptable. The incident is highly unfortunate, and no one has the right to harass anyone, he said.
